Payless shoes

(Christian Sirano Boots)

(Alice + Olivia Wedge Boots)

They are about 50$ each but... I hate fake leather. I own one pair of boots from there but they are really unflattering and also fake leather. Even if it looks real, I still know. I'd rather put the money towards a pair of fabulous shoes on ebay.

Balenciaga Knocks

I've been seeing these Sam Edelman boots on ebay a lot lately for like, 800$, and just saw a post of the Fashion Spot about how they are now available on the 'netz for an affordable $345... Affordable for some maybe...

The strange thing is that I don't think Sam Edelman is normally THAT expensive, and I didn't expect the line to pull such a Steve Madden, but it also seems that that higher the heel the higher the price...

Honestly I will probably buy them when they are old news and used on ebay because I do love them. I will have to see how I like 5" heels when I get in my MK wedges...

Spending Madness!

So I sold my iPod on eBay, originally to save up to trade in my sorry, old sidekick for an iPhone, but alas, I went looking for....

In my size!

I fell deeply in love with them when I first saw them on the Michael Kors website (it's still up there for full price), and when I looked them up on eBay on a whim, there they were.. the only pair up... calling to me "brand new and 1/3 off!" I had to!

I got some other things as well but I will go over that when I get them..

MARC JACOBS MOON BOOTS, WHAT?

Turban-style headband

(image from olsenanonymous.blogspot.com)

Love this picture.. I've been seeing turban-style hats all over the place lately... I actually saw a teal green one at a thrift store recently but I don't think I can pull it off currently. It's defiantly fabulous, though, and she's working the headband to a T.

OA also cites it as being by L. Erickson

Shoe heaven

Amazing Martin Margiela nail head heel. Looove

Ann Demeulemeester Wedges

GORGEOUS wedges... Super pointy and loud, but I think I could pull them off if I didn't live in this suburb. Too many confused looks and questions.

Oh and

I forgot to mention I got a personal-use computer finally. My brother took my computer about a 1.5 months ago (his laptop for college broke +1.5 yrs ago) and I was going to ask if I could get a laptop and pay it back w. graduation money, but out of some act of god she brought it up, and now I'm working diligently to completely redo my itunes from scratch, and get used to the new Mac format.

I want to post more..
but I don't have the energy to whip out my camera to record things or make a nice layout, and I don't have the resources to buy nice stuff to post about

Brass Knuckle Heels

LOVE/NEED

hi

not postin as much as id hope but its hard to make the effort when i know no one is reading...
Got great new vintage the other day very excited to list on ebay!!

My taller friend needs to model them for me, along with some other things that haven't been selling. I've tried photographing them on a hanger on the wall, as well as a dress form but I think I'm going to have to try some thing new.

Chloe Shoez

Normally I think Chloes shoes are a bit... blah. I found these beauties on ebay and my opinion totally changed! Their line seems to be really classic (at least as of late I don't know about before) but these shoes are kind of edgy if you ask me. Form your own opinions.

I'm not normally a fan of yellow but it works in this context, I think.

Sorry...

I had a lot of pictures and I hate to go on the computer and upload them periodically.. Hopefully will be able to order my computer soon and get on with my life...

(thrifted beaded smocked tube top folded over, Hudson pants, Charlotte Ronson wedges)

Had to run a lot of errands today

-get fabric

-zippers

-sell clothes to platos

-go to MAC

Which took about 4 hours of driving and shopping, ect.

It was so hot out, I don't know why I wore full length pants.. I thought that because they were white I would be okay but that was not the case (also my car's air conditioning is down).

Tried out my new Chi Straightening Lotion or whatever. I'm starting to really like the Chi line, almost better than BioSilk, even though they're the same company.

(LAMB top, mom's vintage belt, Hudson shorts, Michael Kors Stockton wedge)
Outfit I wore to boyfriends house for the night. I normally like to wear at least SOME dark to balance out the light hair/skin thing I have going on (need to get hair done soon), but I was in a rush.
Headache.

Kat

Get used to this face you will be seeing a lot of her.

7:30 am - ish? Her, my boyfriend and I don't go to sleep before 6 am. It's technically early..

Reorganized Thread

There was an old plastic organizer thing in our spare bedroom/sewing room and I'm not sure what exactly i assumed was in it, but I took a gander and found a thread goldmine! It took about 15 minutes to secure the threads so they weren't going everywhere, then just put them in order and they fit perfectly.
I don't know what's going to happen if I need to add more thread.. I don't think that will be necessary for a while though, obviously.

Embroidery ???

Every female has used this shit at one time or another for "friendship bracelets." I just happen to have a lot. Like two unused packs worth. I'm trying to think of what to do with them...

-trim
-decorative pillows (will go into more about that on another post)
-actual embroidery?

Will have to do some digging

Studss

Got this picture from SeaofShoes (google it if you don't already know it).

It's a vintage belt but I love the idea of mixed, randomly placed studs. I probably would have gone with a darker leather to offset all the light colored metal.

I need a leather belt! But I still want the macrame houndstooth one...

Givenchy dreamin'

I want to make a pair like these Givenchy jellies, and I had seen a similar pair but with what looked like python on the sides with elastic. Yummy!

Hemp-a-thon pt 1

Hemp is a great plant to have in existence. It makes so many awesome things, and no, I'm not talking about necklaces. I don't have the time right now to go into how it's so much cheaper to make paper from hemp than cut down trees, blah blah blah, but I have some lying around and want to do something with it.

I'm thinking macrame bucket bags or belt or some sort. I already know how to do a lot of knots so this shouldn't be a difficult task.

Some ideas:
-mixing colors
-"macrochet" (macrame and crochet mixed)
-key chains
-this was a great site for ideas, but I'm not really sure how to make the projects relevant for my life

I found a houndstooth design... to die for. Expect to see a belt in the near future, I'm going to get a zipper for a dress I put together last night so I can make it soon!

Bow Legged

I really like these leggings, but I can't think of any way I would be able to make these, and make them stretch..

Sidenote

T-Mobile is finally coming out with a 3G Sidekick. I've had the LX since it first came out, and have had other 3G phones on other networks, and I'm still shocked they didn't at least have Wi-Fi. WTF??

Introduction

I'm sure no one will start reading this blog for a long time, but one day I will be famous and people will want to know what life was like for me back then (sarcasm).

I'm 17 and live about 30 minutes outside Chicago. I have a beautiful boyfriend (Matt) who I've been with since 6-7-08.

The point of this blog is I recently decided to start making my own clothing. I have an eye for fashion and learned how to sew about 6 or 7 years ago from my mother. I'm 5'1" and have struggled to find clothes that fit my small, unusual frame.

I don't only want to make clothes though, that's not even what I started out with.. I want to make shoes. And bags. And why not jewelry, too? Shit why not make other accessories while I'm at it!

The shoes are the main goal, though.
